Frequently asked questions

Fippence is a mobile app that helps Jamaican shoppers track their grocery cart total in real time — so you always know what you're spending before you reach the cashier. Think of it as your personal grocery budget companion, built specifically for how people shop in Jamaica.
Fippence is free during beta. Early testers may also receive permanent founder perks, but those benefits will be confirmed before public launch. No credit card is required to join the testing group.
We are testing price coverage for Hi-Lo Food Stores, MegaMart, and Shoppers Fair, with Price Smart coverage in beta. Coverage and accuracy may vary by location while testing, and more stores will be added during beta.
Fippence maintains a database of real prices from Jamaican supermarkets, updated regularly. When you add an item, we show you the price at your current store and flag if a nearby store has it cheaper. Over time, our database gets more accurate as more shoppers use the app.
Yes. We collect only what's needed to run the app and improve prices. We never sell your data to third parties. Your shopping history stays private, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Fippence is currently in active development with a small group of early testers. Beta access is rolling out now — join the early access list above and we'll notify you as soon as your spot is ready. Public launch is targeted for later in 2026.
